Cedar Point is fast approaching! Itinerary – payments due

There are still many payments due for this trip. If you have not yet paid and your student plans to make the trip, please pay in full by Saturday 9/29. We need to firm up the count in order to finalize all of our plans. If your plans have changed, you need to inform Mr. Snyder immediately.

On Friday Oct 5, our Marching Firebirds will be leaving for a fun filled weekend. A few things worth noting; this is a weekend trip. Keep the number of bags to a minimum. Pack for the weather. Please confine your luggage to your red bag (a comparable duffel for band aids) plus a draw string bag/back pack for the bus/park. Eat dinner before boarding the bus. The bus is not making stops. There is time to do homework on the 4 hour drive(s)!

Saturday morning students should have a change of clothing with them for the Saturday afternoon rehearsal. Flutes and clarinets will bring their instruments, which will remain locked in the bus. Students will be going to Castaway Water Park twice on Saturday, in the morning and directly after the competition. Chaperones will hold students’ personal possessions, if asked, while at the water park. On Saturday evening, students should have their swim attire and change of clothing when departing for the competition. A second set which is dry may be preferred. Castaway Bay provides towels. CLICK HERE for a detailed itinerary.

WHAT TO BRING:  Homework. Remember to pack/bring your instrument and all parts of your uniform: shako, parka, marching shoes, black shorts, black socks (2), black T-shirts (2), gloves, beret, etc., for the competition AND parade. Band Aids should bring long black pants, solid black LONG sleeve shirt, black gym shoes (black as possible), black socks (CREW length), and a solid black jacket for evening hours. Bring snacks and beverage for the bus ride to Cedar Point. Pack plastic bag(s) for wet garments. Bring enough money to buy lunch for two days and what is deemed necessary while at Cedar Point. Do not bring excessive amounts.
