Upbeat Updates 2/27 – (Fundraising – Company matches – GFS, News Articles)

Fundraising, GFS, and Company matches – The Upbeat Club would like to form a fundraising committee led by the chair, Mariam Kassem. This team will receive leads and investigate both feasibility and profitability. They will brainstorm ideas and bring to fruition successful and fun events such as Uno’s Dough Raiser, McDonald’s, and Patty Burger. We need to bring in big, new ideas which reach out to the community beyond Tag Day and Jazz ‘N Cakes.  The more we do, the more we earn. Some ideas have already been mentioned. We need people power!

If you are creative, like to talk with people, and to be part of a fun team please contact Mariam Kassem at kassemmk2@yahoo.com or 513-917-4984 to be on the committee. We will meet regularly to discuss ideas and more as we plan, organize, and make our magic happen.  Look for future Taste for Music events to be announced – new and past restaurants.

Two fundraisers not to be overlooked:

1. Company matches – if your company matches charitable contributions, please submit.  Tag Day, Market Street donations, food donations to events, purchasing supplies not being reimbursed -> these are donations that can be matched.  Please do not overlook company matches.

2. If you shop at GFS please mention LW Upbeat Club. We receive an annual rebate.  If anyone has GFS coupons, please give to Mariam for Jazz ‘N Cakes supplies at the next Upbeat meeting March 18th.

Firebirds in the News – The Upbeat Club would like to share different articles that have recently appeared in either the West Chester Buzz or Pulse Journal.  Please enjoy these great articles about recent accomplishments:  Ohio Legislature Honors Marching Firebirds   and    Lakota West Winter Guard teams place first in competition
