08/31/14 Upbeat Updates (Tag Day, Spirit Wear Updates, A Taste for Music, Bus Chaperones, Band Camp Photos)

15 Drivers still needed for Tag Day! – We still need 15 more parent drivers for Tag Day on September 6.   Tag Day is our annual fundraiser focused primarily on our uniform fund.  Thanks to our generous community, we are able to accumulate donations over multiple years to year and replace uniforms for our very large band program when needed. Please sign up as soon as you can as we need to start working through route assignments by Wednesday, September 3.  Click HERE for more information and to signup Thanks to everyone who has already signed up!

Spirit Wear Update – There is a NEW updated order form WITH ROSE PARADE ITEMS ON IT!!!! Please make sure you’re using the most recent copy of the order form.  There have been several versions of the order form, and it’s really important to make sure you’re using the most recent version. You can mail these to the address on the form, or hand-deliver them to Rachel Butler at Silver’s on Thursday nights.

The items ordered at the Tailgate Party are now in.  If you did not pick up your order last Thursday, please see Rachel next Thursday night at Silver’s! Rachel will plan to be available every Thursday to deliver orders as they are received.  There are still a few Proud Parent shirts in stock. Please see Rachel if you didn’t purchase yours yet!

Rose Parade t-shirts have been approved!!!  There will be a white short-sleeved shirt and a black long-sleeved shirt available for purchase.  As soon the order is received, pictures will be posted to the website.  Please feel free to pre-order these now!  Please visit the Spirit Wear Shoppe on our website. A Taste for Music – The next Taste for Music fundraiser will be held on Friday, September 19, Saturday, September 20 and Sunday, September 21, 2014 at PattyBurger at 9220 Allen Road in West Chester.  The fundraiser will be held all weekend – so plan to come several times during the weekend to support the band.  The Lakota West Upbeat Club will receive 20% of ALL purchases during the fundraiser time period with proceeds supporting the Lakota West band programs.

Bus Chaperones – You’re shirt orders and money are due by Thursday at Silver’s practice. Shirts are $17.00 for Small to 1XL and $19.00 for 2XL. Please give your order and money or check to Dawn DiLorenzo during Silver’s practice on Thursday.  If you are unable to meet, please email her at freshmanvp@lakotawestbands.org to make delivery arrangements.
