Trivia Night: The first annual Lakota West Marching Firebirds Trivia Night will be held on Saturday, November 15. Doors will open at 5:00pm and trivia competition will begin promptly at 6:00pm. Public attendance is welcome. Advanced reservations and payment are required. The cost of each individual ticket is $15, with table reservations being held for groups of 4, 6, 8, or 10. A portion of each ticket sold will go to the winning pot, which will be used as a cash prize for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place teams. CLICK HERE for more information and link to registration form. Trivia Night will consist of several rounds with topics ranging from general topics to movies, science, history, TV, sports, music, etc. Answers for each round will be turned in as a team, so pick a creative team name. A small snack will be provided on each table; however, extra concessions will be available for your enjoyment.Rose Parade Jackets/Spirit Wear: There are 2 options of the Rose Parade jackets available for friends, family and followers. Each are available in men’s and women’s sizes and with a full-color or a white Rose Parade logo. The logos will be placed on the back of the jacket. The Lakota West Marching Firebirds logo will be placed on the left front. Sample photos of each jacket (without embroidery)are on the band website. The red jackets MUST BE ordered in increments of 6 or more. Medication Forms for Rose Parade Trip Reminder: Please CLICK HERE to read IMPORTANT memo that explains the policy and procedures for handling student medication (both prescription and non-prescription) while the marching band travels to California and back. A separate medication form will be required for each medicine (both prescription and non-prescription) that students will need while on the Rose Trip. Forms must be signed by doctor as well as parent/guardian. The forms and the accompanying medications must all be turned in to be verified by Mrs. Robin Robinson, RN, BSN (Registered Nurse for LWHS). She will be collecting forms and medications after marching band rehearsals on Wednesday, November 19, 2014 and Monday, November 24, 2014. She will be available in the band room at LWHS at 5:00 pm both dates. Permission forms and medications SHOULD NOT be brought to school during the day either by the student or the parent.
