Band Announcements:
1. What an amazing ending to the competitive marching season at Springfield Shawnee!!!! Grand Champs once again and a record high score for the Marching Firebirds.
2. 2nd Quarter begins today: District 13 Honor Band auditions are Dec. 6 at Fairfield. Open Challenge season for chair placement in all Concert bands is until December 5. Holiday concert on Monday, December 15. Almost time to start thinking about solos and ensemble assignments for Solo and Ensemble Contest on February 14!
3. Marching Band News:
A. Regular rehearsals this week as we prepare for the East/West Football game and State Finals!!
B. Leadership team report at 5:15 on Friday for Channel 5 Blitz coverage on TV.
C. 6:15 in auditorium for entire band on Friday. Regular pre-game and both bands do their competition show at half-time.
D. Report time is 2:00 on Saturday in auditorium for Senior speeches and State festivities. 2015 Leadership Team letter applications are due by 2:00. Depart at 3:30, stop at Fairfield Commons Mall for dinner at 4:30. Arrive at Hilliard Bradley 6:45. Warm-up and perform at 8:30. Depart at 9:15 and should be back at West around 11:30.
E. November 6 Concert and Awards at Lakota West Gym. Meet at 5:00 for short parade at Hotel, Skyline dinner at 6:00, warm-up for concert at 7:00, Concert and Awards at 7:30. Followed by Browns/ Bengals football game (may the best team win 🙂
F. Mondays and Wednesdays 3:00 till 5:00 in November and December march around West to prepare for the Greatest Parade in the World!!!
