ROSE PARADE INFORMATION:

Don’t forget the parent meeting on December 9!

Final Rose Parade payment is due December 15.  Lakota West Upbeat Club has made a $24,900 donation to the Lakota Local School District to help reduce Rose Parade trip costs.  This is in addition to the donations that were obtained by LW Upbeat for uniform, equipment, and luggage transport, and for the Rose Parade jackets. A big thank you to everyone who helped with fundraising!  Please check EZPay or with the Lakota West Bursar for your student’s final trip balance.  The donation from Lakota West Upbeat Club will not be reflected in your student’s balance immediately as it  must be approved by the Lakota Board of Education before it can be applied.  Your student’s trip costs must be paid in full by December 15, 2014.

Rose Parade Medication and Forms Turn in:  All student medications, parent authorization for administration, and medication forms for use during Rose Parade trip should already be turned into Robin Robinson.  If they are not, please contact Robin Robinson at robin.robinson@lakotaonline.com  immediately to schedule an appointment to turn in any remaining student medications and forms.

Rose Parade Uniform Packing Instructions:  CLICK HERE for uniform packing instructions for the Rose Parade for band members and color guard.  We will be selling gloves after school this Tuesday for anyone that would like to purchase gloves.   If you are a chaperone, please CLICK HERE for chaperone uniform responsibilities before the trip and also returning from Pasadena.

Parka Collecting (again)!!!
Parkas will be collected after practice on Monday. If you will not be at practice, please leave your parka in the uniform room after school on Monday. We will need about 5 volunteers to finish up the washing of the parkas that didn’t get washed the first time. We will leave the dirty parkas on the countertops in the sousa room. They will be in garbage bags with the washing instructions. Please leave your name on the sign out sheet so that we know who has them. When they are clean leave them in the uniform room.

50/50 Raffle:  Our drawing for the grand prize – and three additional prizes – is less than 3 weeks away! All checks used to pay for tickets must be turned in by December 8 so they clear prior to the raffle drawing.  Sold and unsold tickets and cash from sold tickets need to be turned in to Katie Klopfenstein by Sunday, December 14.  If you have tickets to turn in or need more tickets to sell, Leslie Twardowski will be available at 5pm on Monday, December 1; Wednesday, December 3; and Monday, December 8 in the shelter outside the LW Band Room.  You can also contact Katie at raffle@lakotawestbands.org or Leslie at secretary@lakotawestbands.org.  Thank you all who have been selling tickets.
