Thanks to all the volunteers who worked the Solo and Ensemble Festival on Saturday. It was a great event and wonderful to hear our band students perform!
Please join us for the LW Upbeat Club Meeting on Tuesday, February 17 at 7:30 pm in the Band Room Agenda given in last Friday’s blast.
Sunday, February 22, from 2-4pm, is our Retirement Open House for Mr. Snyder. Please join us in the Band Room to thank him for all he has done to build the Lakota West band program and to wish him well. We encourage you to come and go as meets your schedule. Current and former students, parents, friends of the band are all welcome. Light refreshments will be served.
Alumni and current band students, please contribute to Mr. Snyder’s Retirement Memory Book. Ann Turner (a former band mom) is creating a book of memories from Mr. Snyder’s students. Please CLICK HERE and use the online form to share your stories, special moments, and how Mr. Snyder has impacted your life. If you have a favorite picture or document to share, you can upload that too.
Jazz ‘n Cakes Donations: Please remember to bring any items (gift certificates, event tickets, admission tickets, household items, games, baskets, etc.) that you would like to donate to our Jazz ‘n Cakes basket raffles to Tuesday’s Upbeat Club meeting and give to Bill Hertz. Jazz ‘n Cakes is one of our largest fundraisers each year and its success depends on our parent volunteers, ticket sales and basket raffles. Proceeds benefit everyone – marching band, concert band, jazz band, color guard and winter guard. If you are unable to attend Tuesday’s meeting, but would like to make a basket donation, help solicit donations or find out information about possibly being a vendor, please email market@lakotawestbands.org.
