Please add November 8 to your calendars for the Uno’s Trucksgiving DoughRaiser! The event is a festive celebration of our band program and features an All You Can Eat Buffet, performances by multiple Lakota West Band groups, facepainting, celebrity bartenders, and more!.  During the DoughRaiser, the Uno’s owners partner with our volunteers to run the restaurant for a day and share all the profits.  All proceeds will go towards our new Marching Firebirds Tractor and Trailer and the external wrap of the trailer.  This is the 2nd of only 3 big fundraisers this year that require help from a significant number of band parents and students.  Please help by:

  • Selling tickets in advance:  All students will be asked to sell 6 tickets to the DoughRaiser.  Tickets will be distributed for presale at the October 6 Freshman and Red/White/Winds Concerts.
  • Volunteering for a shift the day of the event:  100+ student and adult volunteers are required.  Volunteers will be able to eat for $5 and receive an Uno’s Doughraiser T-shirt.  Sign-up Genius will be out in early to mid-October.
  • Supporting your student in performing for the event:  More details to come on performance groups and schedules.

THANK YOU TO EVERYONE WHO SUPPORTED OUR MATTRESS SALE!  Whether you passed out flyers, put up yard signs, or provided other publicity, it really made a difference.  We had a record number of sets sold – around twice what we have sold each of the previous two years.  Special thanks to Helen Huntington, who coordinated the mattress sale!
