Cedar Point Trip this Sept. 30 – Oct. 2

Lakota West Bands

The Marching Firebirds will be on the road this September 30 through October 2 for an evening of waterpark fun at Kalahari Resort, a day of competition at the Bands of America Regional at the University of Toledo, and a day of amusement park rides at Cedar Point.

At 11am on September 30 the Marching Firebirds will depart Lakota West High School for Kalahari Rest in Sandusky, where they will stay and play for the evening.

At 9:45am on Saturday, October 1, the Marching Firebirds will compete in the preliminaries of their first-ever Bands of America (BOA) Regional competition at the University of Toledo. If they make finals, they will perform again in the evening.

On Sunday, October 2, the Marching Firebirds will enjoy a morning and afternoon of amusement park rides at Cedar Point.

The cost of the trip is $199 and includes charter coach transportation, two nights of hotel accommodations, Kalahari admission, and four meals. The trip fee will appear in your teen’s HAC account by Monday, September 12, and payment is due by Wednesday, September 21.

There is a $25 charge for Cedar Point admission that will be charged separately from the $199  trip fee, as some Marching Firebirds already have free admission to Cedar Point because they are Kings Island employees or have a Kings Island Platinum Pass.

More trip details will be posted as they become available. Meanwhile, please plan to attend a brief parent information meeting on Thursday, September 15 at 7pm in the Lakota West Freshman School Theater.
