Special Note for Freshmen:
Freshman Orientation is on the same nights as Uniform Fitting.  If your section’s time conflicts with Orientation, please come over after Orientation to be fitted for uniforms.   If you do not have a conflict, please come with your section as scheduled.
Section Leaders:  
Section leaders need to be at fittings 15 minutes before their section is scheduled and stay until their section is finished.
Veteran Band Members:
Veteran band members need to check their summer uniform and Drillmasters to make sure they still fit well.  If they have grown and need to purchase new items they should do this at fittings, especially the Drillmasters, as the shipping on those is very expensive when they’re shipped separately.

Upbeat Club Activity Leader Position Openings for 2017-18

The Upbeat Club works hard to make the transition to new Activity Leaders go smoothly from year to year. For that reason, you will often see a need for a new Leader to shadow the current Leader for the first year.  We need parents to fill the positions below for the beginning of the new school-year:

REMIND Text sign up

The Upbeat Club has set up a Marching Band text messaging account with Remind — a leading communications solution for teachers and extracurricular activity leaders. The purpose of this account will be to:

  • inform you of cancellations or changes due to weather or unexpected circumstances,
  • changes to rehearsal locations or times
  • give parents “We’re departing now” alerts upon return from trips or competitions,
  • give parents “We’re about 15 minutes away” alerts upon return from trips or competitions,
  • deliver competition results and
  • deliver urgent reminders

If you have a smartphone, alerts will come across as push notifications from the free Remind app (if you install the app). If you have a cellphone or do not want to install the free Remind app on your smartphone, the alerts will come across as text messages.

Toledo Trip Fundraiser on Monday July 31!

We are excited about our Toledo Trip this year and to help reduce the cost we are running a new fundraiser starting this Monday selling 24oz Tumblers, including a custom West design.  Each tumbler is $20, $8 goes to the Upbeat Club.  We are asking each student to sell at least 15 cups.  To kick off the sale, students will spend an hour on Monday afternoon/evening calling family and friends to get as many commitments as possible.  It will be a fun, competitive group event!  They will have until August 9th to continue selling and collect money. All students received a flyer and instructions during pre-camp. Please ensure your student is ready to go on Monday in order to participate! If you need a copy of the flyer, email
