Fundraisers

The Lakota West Upbeat Club conducts a number of general fundraisers (such as Tag Day and Kroger Reward Cards) that support the band program overall. We must raise approximately $60,000 to $70,000 a year to offset uniform, instrument, and other expenses. No school funds are used for band camp or trips. In addition to general fundraisers, we offer a number of student fundraisers where students can earn money for their Student Accounts. Student Account funds can be applied to cover band camp, trips and other band fees. Some fundraisers (such as the Pancake Breakfast) support the general fund as well as individual Student Accounts.

Scrip Cards

Here is the new February 2012 Scrip order form. February 2012 Order Form (Excel File) Scrip cards are an easy way to earn money monthly for your individual account that can be applied to your future band expenses. Here is all you need to do:

1. Ask friends and family to order gift cards that they will use anyway to purchase fast food, fine dining or department stores. They receive full value for the amount paid and an extra percentage is provided to your account.
2. Fill out the excel order form attached, including all student information and phone number. Email the form to Judy Donley at scrip@lakotawestbands.org. Send Payment at time of order – either mail checks or drop off at her house:

Kroger Cards

The Lakota West Upbeat Club receives a percentage of every purchase you make using the Kroger Rewards Card. If all Lakota West Band families used these cards for their normal purchases, we would never need to conduct another fundraiser!

This is our easiest fundraiser  – just buy a $5 Kroger Rewards Card (the value already loaded onto the card).  Next, go to your nearest Kroger and reload the card with ANY amount up to $500.
