URGENT Parents of Seniors – Please submit photos – baby and current – of your student for the slide show on Awards night in May. Photos can be scanned (200-300 dpi) and sent to president@lakotawestbands.org or there is an envelope on the bulletin board in the band room. Please make sure all photos are marked with the student’s name. Please submit by Friday, May 3. (You can get your photos back on awards night)
New Fundraiser, McDonalds – Our first event is Sunday 4/14 from 10am – 1pm. Please come join us for breakfast or lunch to benefit the band and bring friends! We could still use another 2-4 adults for 3 hours at the Beckett Ridge McDonalds (across from Kroger) to act as hosts/greeters: help carry food, clean tables, pour coffee, and be friendly while wearing our band spirit wear (if you have it)! Winterguard – Our Fan Favorite Winterguard competes 4/11-13 at the World Championships at the University of Dayton. They are currently ranked 19th in their class. Let’s give them our support and make them Fan Favorites again! Good Luck Guard!

URGENT Kroger Community Rewards Renewal – It’s time for the annual re registration of Kroger cards to our Upbeat number. EVERYONE who has registered their card with Kroger needs to re register to our Upbeat Community Rewards number in order for the band to continue to receive credit past 5/1/13. URGENT BRAVO DVD orders – We have been having trouble with the BRAVO (only) link to order DVDs and every DVD that had been ordered had been refunded. We finally figured out the problem and the link is fixed as of 4/9. Currently ONE BRAVO DVD is ordered (Keiser). If you intended to order a BRAVO DVD, please go back to the link and reorder. The date to place an order has been EXTENDED to May 23, 2013 for all DVDs. To place your order, please CLICK HERE. April Taste of Music (Uno’s 4/18) – Uno’s does not allow electronic flyers for their events so paper flyers will be available for pick up in the band rooms and at the 4/16 Upbeat meeting. Uno’s gives the band 20% of the check (including alcohol, excluding tax & tip) for take out and dine in. Flyers can not be distributed in the restaurant or the parking lot so be sure to take one with you at one of these events if you did not receive one at Jazz ‘N Cakes.

UPBEAT MEETING 4/16 – The next meeting of the Lakota West Upbeat Club will be April 16th at 7:30pm in the Lakota West HS band room. This meeting will elect the Upbeat officers for the next school year. All positions are open every year. Come vote or take your involvement to the next level and run for office!
