Winterguard — Congratulations to both our A & B winterguard groups for taking 1st place at the competition at Connor HS in Hebron, KY on 2/22! Great job!
After Prom — This is a new opportunity for Upbeat. After Prom would like Upbeat to sponsor or co-sponsor a room. There is no cost involved, we would just need volunteers to decorate a room to a theme before prom within the budget the PTSO provides, serve snacks during the event, and clean up after. Several of our parents have been doing this with other activity groups. If you would be interested, especially in the decorating part, please contact Julie Forney at julie4knee@aol.com
Jazz ‘n Cakes Donation Opportunity – If you shop at Kohl’s and earn Kohl’s Cash that you don’t plan to use, please consider donating it! Bill & Tricia Hertz market@lakotawestbands.org will redeem any Kohl’s Cash received to purchase items for our Jazz ‘n Cakes Raffle Baskets and Silent Auctions! The current Kohl’s Cash program holds special meaning: not only can it benefit our own Jazz ‘n Cakes fund-raiser also for every Kohl’s Cash earned before Feb 17th & redeemed between Feb 18th – March 8th, Kohl’s will donate $1 for every coupon redeemed to Susan G. Volunteer needs – We are in need of volunteers to fill several activity chair positions due to empty slots or one or more parents “aging out” with their last student. If you are interested in helping with any of these activities please contact the current owner on the CONTACT LIST or email Sue Tanner at president@lakotawestbands.org : Concert Uniforms, Co Chair Swing Dance, Mattress Sale, Co Chair Pancake Breakfast, Co Chair Spirit Wear, Taste for Music, Co Chair 3rd Quarter Refreshments, Senior Slideshow. This will give you time before the end of the year to train behind the current owner.
Marching Firebird DVDs — Now that the season is over, don’t forget to order your season DVD of “West Side Story” including the Macy’s trip. Each DVD is $35 and is delivered to the address noted on the order. We will take orders through May 1, 2014. The DVD will then ship after October 1, 2014.
