Please take note of your student’s marching band uniform fitting date and time. All fitting will take place in the Band Room at Lakota West High School.

6:00 pm – Baritones

7:45 pm – Mellophones
7:45 pm – Color Guard
* Please advise your child to wear athletic shorts to uniform fitting as s/he will be trying on their uniform slacks over their shorts. CARGO SHORTS WILL NOT WORK!!! Also, please have them wear a short sleeve tee for fitting the jacket.
* We have time available Friday, July 24 only for musicians who are unable to make their section’s fitting.

What you will be purchasing at Fitting Day:
Rookies: shorts, red polo, drillmaster marching shoes, and gloves
Veterans: shorts and gloves (2 fresh pairs recommended…. you know what you have).
MAKE SURE YOUR DRILL MASTERS STILL FIT!!!! Feet grow! If you need a new pair and they are not ordered with the group, you will be responsible for all shipping expenses which are typically an additional $20.
MAKE SURE YOUR RED POLO STILL FITS (and is in good condition). They can be traded in if your size is available in the pre-used collection.
ALL ITEMS CAN BE PURCHASED IN ADVANCE ON CHARMS WITH YOUR CREDIT CARD BUT YOU MUST SEND A RECEIPT WITH YOUR MUSICIAN!!!!
We will also accept cash or checks on fitting day at school.
Other Required Uniform Items:
Black Short Sleeve Tee. Printing on the tee is ok, just make sure the color is solid black.
Athletic Shorts to wear under your Marching Band Dress Uniform. Color not specified.
Black Calf Length Socks will be worn with your Drill Master marching shoes and must be a solid black.
White or Gray (or as close as possible without buying a new pair) of Athletic Shoes to be worn with your summer uniform.
White Athletic Socks ankle length or “no show”.
Hair Restraints such as bobby pins, hair bands, etc. to conceal your hair under your Shako (i.e. marching hat).
