Special Upbeat Club Meeting: The Lakota West Upbeat Club, Inc. will hold a brief special meeting on Monday, August 31, 2015 at 6:30pm in the Lakota West band room for the purpose of information sharing, discussion, and voting on a proposal to purchase a tractor and trailer for the Marching Firebirds. We had budgeted money this year for tractor rental and retrofit of a donated trailer. The option proposed, although more expensive this year, will also pay for itself by the end of the next budget year.
3rd Quarter Refreshments: There are still a few volunteer spots needed for the third quarter refreshment crew. Volunteers help to set-up tables and serve water (after the band performs pre-game) and then serve water, pop, and cookies during the third quarter (after the band performs the half-time show). Volunteers are able to watch the half-time show. At the beginning of the fourth quarter, volunteers clean up, take-down tables and are then free to leave or stay until the end of the game. Please CLICK HERE if you would like to sign-up for one, some or all of the games this year.
Split-The-Pot Volunteers: We are still in need of volunteers for each home game that would be willing to sell Split-the-Pot tickets. No admission cost for volunteers. Tickets are only sold up until half-time, so you will not miss the band’s half-time performance! This is a really easy way for our band to raise money!! Please CLICK HERE to sign-up for any game that you would be willing to help.
