Personalized Messages

Customize your student’s uniform with a personalized tag. Specify a message for your student, up to 50 characters, that will remind them of your support each time they put on the uniform and perform. All custom tags will have the graphics as shown and include the first two lines. Custom message will be printed on the third line of the tag. Tag will be sewn into the student’s uniform garment. ORDER HERE.

Final day to order will be Tuesday 1/21.

Calendar Fundraiser

Thank you to everyone who supported our Guard with the calendar fundraiser!

We raised close to $1000 which will be used towards the season. THANK YOU!

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED

TRY BAND

We are looking for some help with our Try Band events scheduled for the end of January. These are recruiting events for our 6th graders to register for band in 7th grade.

There are school visits the week of 1/27 as well as an Open House the evening of 1/30.

We are looking for a couple adults (music experience with wind instruments preferred) who can help us in the west-feeder elementary schools, a different school is scheduled for each day during the week of 1/27. We get to meet with 6th grade students to talk about band and allow them to try out “instruments.” See photo of unit below of what is used for students to try each type of mouthpiece. Dates and locations for these school visits are on our calendar. An updated daily schedule will be included when available.

We also host an Open House for the 6th grade families on 1/30 where we invite families to come and get information from the Jr High Band Directors as well as provide an opportunity for 6th graders to play on real instruments! We need some help with registration. The time is 5:45pm – 9pm.

If you know a 6th grader that you want to invite, please use this flyer so they come to the open house!

JAZZ ‘N CAKES

Jazz ‘n Cakes planning will begin next week and part of that planning process is the raffle baskets. If you have any items you’re willing to donate to add to baskets, please let us know. We’ll be happy to collect and use towards our fundraiser. We’re always looking for baskets and basket filler as well.
