Honor Jazz Band Concert

Congratulations to all the students who were selected and performed at Honor Jazz Band concert! Your hard work, talent, and dedication truly shone on stage. (Pictured below are all the 9-12 students from East and West, the students from Plains Jr, and the students from Ridge Jr.)

Dallas Brass live concert with Lakota West students

Save the Date! It’s going to be an unforgettable evening of collaboration!

Our band students will be sharing the stage with the incredible Dallas Brass, one of America’s foremost musical ensembles, creating musical magic that showcases outstanding teamwork and artistry. It’s sure to be an inspiring night filled with amazing music for our young musicians!

Tickets will be available for purchase soon on the SHOP page of our website. We’ll also share an update on our social media pages once tickets are available.

Once your order is complete, you’ll receive a confirmation email with your digital ticket.

Solo & Ensemble Recital Nights

Parents are welcome and encouraged to attend any of the performances.

Students should enter through the band room doors, while parents and other spectators should use the school’s main entrance.

Please wait to enter or exit rooms until groups are transitioning. Students are expected to stay for the entire performance, but parents may come and go between individual group performances.

Remember that this is a formal performance, and all standard concert etiquette should be observed.


Jazz ‘N Cakes

Lakota West Bands – Open Lead Volunteer Positions 

We are looking to fill a few open lead positions for our 2026 band season. If you’d like to join our fun and energetic team, please review the open positions below and let us know you’re joining, or reach out to  president@lakotawestbands.org  if you have any questions. No experience needed—just bring your enthusiasm.    

Sponsorship Lead
Our band is seeking a Sponsorship Lead volunteer to help secure the resources our amazing kids deserve. The band sponsorship lead volunteer is primarily responsible for coordinating efforts to secure sponsorships and donations from local businesses.

Summer Band Camp Co-Lead.

We already have a dedicated band mom with several years of experience leading this role. We’re seeking a passionate volunteer co-lead to support her with organization, logistics, and creating a successful experience for our hardworking student musicians during summer marching band camp.

Competitive Band Uniform Lead
We are looking for a couple of well?organized  individuals to coordinate our Competitive Marching Band Uniform team. We already have a great group in place—we’re just looking for someone (or a pair of volunteers) to take the lead.

Split the pot
If you have a fun personality, this position is for you! We need someone to take the lead on organizing “Split the Pot” at several fundraising events. Every hour helps, and your contribution is invaluable.

As of 1/14/26: Here are the current performance times for our home show. These are not final as groups can add or drop out of this competition until this upcoming Saturday. So final times should be available on Sunday, but we will notify if times shift.
JV – 12:24pm tentatively
Varsity – 3:05pm tentatively

We still have a few spots to fill on our volunteer sign-up. We have opportunities for both students and adults to volunteer. If you know a student who needs volunteer hours for school, the Upbeat Club is happy to sign off for them once their shift is complete.
