April Scrip orders due noon Wednesday 4/16 –  Don’t forget to get your Scrip orders in this month.  For a copy of the order form and complete details concerning the SCRIP program CLICK HERE.  The deadline for orders this month is April 11, 2014  if you mail your order, and noon April 16th if you drop it off.  Scrip card proceeds are used to defray trip costs for all band members.

URGENT Parents of Seniors – Please submit photos – 1 baby and 1 current – of your student for the final concert program and slide show on Awards night in May.   Photos can be scanned (200-300 dpi) and sent to president@lakotawestbands.org or there is an envelope on the bulletin board in the band room.  Please make sure all photos are marked with the student’s name.  Please submit by Wednesday, April 30.  (You can get your photos back on awards or concert night)

Taste of Music (Milanos 4/16)  Our next dining event will be at Milano’s at Voice of America in West Chester.  CLICK HERE for more information and to see their menu.  Come and celebrate the end of tax season! Bring in THIS FLYER and give it to your server when you dine between 11am – Midnight on 4/16 and Milano’s will give the band 20% of the check.  Print as many as you like, email copies to your friends and family, take them to work, and to Facebook.

Tide Dry Cleaners  Starting April 1, 2014 Lakota West Bands will receive a 5% rebate on any dry cleaning taken to:

Details: Save your receipts.  There will be a box placed on the lost and found table in the back of the band room beginning in April dedicated for turning in Tide Dry Cleaner receipts.  It will be clearly marked.  Tide, in turn, will issue a check to Lakota West Upbeat Club for 5% of the total amount. This amount will go towards Rose Parade costs.   This fundraiser runs from April 1st through Dec 31st.

Volunteer needs – We are in need of volunteers to fill several activity chair positions due to empty slots or one or more parents “aging out” with their last student.  If you are interested in helping with any of these activities please contact the current owner on the CONTACT LIST or email Sue Tanner at president@lakotawestbands.org :   Concert Uniforms,  Co Chair Swing Dance,  Mattress Sale,  Co Chair Pancake Breakfast,  Co Chair Spirit Wear,  Taste for Music,  Co Chair 3rd Quarter Refreshments.  This will give you time before the end of the year to train behind the current owner.

Upbeat Club Meeting:  our next meeting is 4/15 at 7:30pm in the band room. We meet the 3rd Tuesday of each month. We are a parent volunteer group that supports all band activities. If you have a student in any band grades 7-12 you are a member. Come and learn more about what we do and how to get involved.
