Reminders for Students from Uniform Committee for FRIDAY, SEPT 12:
1. To be CLEAN SHAVEN. *
2. NO JEWELRY OF ANY KIND that is visible while wearing your uniform …. particularly earrings … is to be worn.
3. To wear a BLACK TEE SHIRT that is short to long sleeved.
Translation: NO tanks or sleeveless tops in order to maintain uniform cleanliness.
4. To wear SOLID BLACK SOCKS that are at least mid calf length (i.e. crew) high.**
5. To wear SHORTS over which your uniform slacks will fit.
6. To allow for your HAIR to be concealed UNDERNEATH your SHAKO.
Translation: bring barrettes, bobby pins, pony tail holders, duct tape (although not highly recommended) to meet this objective!!!
7. To bring your MARCHING BAND DUFFEL BAG!!!***
And, double check contents for: shako, gloves, gaunlets, CLEAN (is this too subtle?) shoes, and parka (only because it’s home).
* If not, we will be happy to provide you with a razor… and good luck !!!
** If you forget (shame on you), we will be happy to sell you a pair @ current market value 🙂
*** If you forget it, REALLY !!??!! GO BACK HOME AND GET IT!!!
Split the Pot Volunteers Still Needed! Volunteers are still need for our first home football game this Friday, September 12 – to help sell and separate Split the Pot tickets! Roam the crowd and the stands until half time, sell tickets, and help the band! 3rd Quarter Refreshments All Marching Band members are responsible for bringing 2 packages of cookies to their assigned 2014 home football game. This Friday, the Alto and Tenor Saxophones and Color Guard are asked to bring cookies. A bin will be available outside the band room to drop-off the cookies when students report on game night.
