Mattress Sale 9/21 — On Saturday, September 21 we will be sponsoring our sixth annual mattress sale. Profits go directly to our Band Program. Brand new, name brand mattress sets 30% – 50% off retail. Top quality mattress sets with full manufacturer warranties. Higher quality for prices lower than a retail store!! All sizes, price ranges, delivery and free layaway will be available. Floor models will be on display at Lakota West High School from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, September 21. If you, or anyone you know is in the market for a new mattress…check out this fundraiser!! Concert Uniform Fitting — Main Campus Concert Band uniform fittings will be September 11 – 13. Your student will need the following:
- Winds girls are fit for dresses. Dresses cost ($65) and pearls ($5).
- All other band members will be fit for their jacket and pants.
- All other band members must have the correct color bow tie ($4) and cummerbund ($10) for their band. Bow ties and cummerbunds are available for purchase through Upbeat or students can bring in and trade their old bow tie and cummerbund for the color they need this year.
- All other band members will also need a tuxedo shirt. Upbeat has gently used tuxedo shirts for sale ($10) or you can buy a new one for $20 at Hobby Lobby (CLICK HERE to use the 40% off coupon).
- CLICK HERE to make payments for bow ties, cummerbunds, dresses, pearls and tuxedo shirts thru the website (please print and bring your Paypal receipt) or send a check to school with your student.

Upbeat Club Meeting: our next meeting is 9/17 at 7:30pm in the band room. We meet the 3rd Tuesday of each month. We are a parent volunteer group that supports all band activities. If you have a student in any band grades 7-12 you are a member. Come and learn more about what we do and how to get involved. Come hear the initial results of Tag Day.
Voter Registration & Levy – To vote in this November’s election, residents must register with the Butler County Board of Elections by Monday, Oct. 7. Early voting begins on Tuesday, Oct. 1 and regular voting on Election Day, Tuesday, Nov. 5. If you are 18 years old by 11/5 you may register and vote on all candidates and issues. You may register to vote at Lakota West HS. CLICK HERE to access the voter registration form and other voting information.

Students may work the phone banks only for service hours. You should get your parents permission before signing up. There will be more opportunities in October.
MACYS TRIP — Please mark your calendar. We will have a Macy’s pre trip meeting for students, parents, and followers on Tuesday, 10/8 at 7pm in the West Freshman Auditorium. We will cover details of the trip and answer questions.
