Big Changes for Kroger Cards – Please Read!

Effective May 1, 2012 there are big changes in the Kroger Cards Program.

  • Kroger is doing away with the separate Kroger Reward Cards we’ve been using.  You can still use the money remaining on your card, but any money you put on after April 30 does not go to the Upbeat Club
  • Instead, Kroger Rewards will be linked to Kroger Plus Cards.  So you will no longer have to carry a separate card and do not have to reload it.
  • Everyone with a Kroger Plus Card, has to go to the Kroger Website and “register” their Kroger Plus Card and link it with our Upbeat Club so that the Upbeat Club earns money.
  • Families must “re-register” their Plus Cards YEARLY in order to continue to earn money for the bands.
  • A Kroger Plus Card can only be linked to one organization.
  • We no longer earn a straight 4% of your purchases. The Kroger Company will only distribute $1,250,000 per QUARTER distributed among all participating organizations.  We assume the more money linked to LWUC through the Kroger Plus Cards, the more we earn.  But we’re competing now with all organizations.
