Haunted House Volunteers: We are in URGENT need of parent volunteers to help with the Friday night late shift and all shifts on Saturday night for our Haunted House at the Old Union School this weekend. Proceeds from the Haunted House go directly to help offset student expenses for the Rose Parade trip. Please consider volunteering a couple of hours this weekend to help make this event a success! Medication Forms for Rose Parade Trip: Please CLICK HERE to read IMPORTANT memo that explains the policy and procedures for handling student medication (both prescription and non-prescription) while the marching band travels to California and back. A separate medication form will be required for each medicine (both prescription and non-prescription) that students will need while on the Rose Trip. Forms must be signed by doctor as well as parent/guardian. The forms and the accompanying medications must all be turned in to be verified by Mrs. Robin Robinson, RN, BSN (Registered Nurse for LWHS). She will be collecting forms and medications after marching band rehearsals on Wednesday, November 19, 2014 and Monday, November 24, 2014. She will be available in the band room at LWHS at 5:00 pm both dates. Permission forms and medications SHOULD NOT be brought to school during the day either by the student or the parent.
A Taste for Music – City Barbeque: The next Taste for Music Fundraiser will be this Sunday, October 26, 2014 from 11:00am to 9:00pm at the City Barbeque at 7706 Voice of America Drive, West Chester, OH 45069. City Barbeque will donate 25% of all purchases (eat-in or carry-out) made on Sunday with the appropriate Upbeat fundraiser flier.
