Today, tomorrow and next week are among our busiest times of the year. As result, you’re hearing from many of leaders and volunteers, and often. Thank you for your patience with us during these hectic — and exciting — times. Here are some urgent requests and/or reminders:
Tag Day Urgent Request #1
We need you to volunteer to accompany students along their Tag Day routes this Saturday morning: Click here for our Sign-Up Genius page. We give you a map of the route and instructions. You take the students to the beginning of the route and, as the students go door-to-door, you trail them in your car. That’s it! More drivers means more ground is covered. More ground covered means more funds raised for the band’s uniform fund. Uniforms have to be replaced about every five years due to wear and tear, and we’re on year four in our current uniforms. A uniform order for a band of our size will total more than $100,000. When we do well with Tag Day year-over-year, the uniform replacement expense is within our reach. So, again, please help us by volunteering to drive students along a route.
Tag Day Urgent Request #2
We need you to like and share our Tag Day video on Facebook — even if you liked and shared a version we posted a couple of weeks ago. When you like and share, Facebook places the video into the feeds of thousands of Facebook users, and this can make a big difference in our fundraising results.
Third Quarter Refreshments
Marching Firebirds flutes and saxophones should bring two two-liter bottles of soda and two full-sized packages of cookies tomorrow when they report to the Main Band Room for Lakota West Band Day activities. Click here for the complete third quarter refreshments schedule.
Marching Firebirds Post-Game Performance
Because of the special halftime celebration of Lakota West Band Day, the Marching Firebirds will perform their competition show after the football game. Encourage your friends and neighbors to stay and cheer for them!
Concert Uniforms
