Color Guard Auditions – Fall Football and Competitive Bands

Thinking about joining the Color Guard team? Auditions will be held Monday, April 28 and Wednesday April 30 from 6:00-9:00pm each night at West Freshman Gym.
Auditions are open to current 7th-11th grade students.
Please, try to come both nights. However, even if you can only attend one night, you will still be considered for the team.
Everyone will learn basic dance and flag skills, as well as a short combination that will be performed in small groups.
Please wear clothes that you can move around in (not jeans), gym shoes, and bring a water bottle with you each night. No experience necessary!

Congratulations 2025 Concerto Winners

We are proud to announce the 2025 Concerto Winners for Lakota West Bands:
Katie Koziel will be studying Trumpet Performance at University of Michigan
Evan Kershaw will be studying Saxophone Performance and Economics at University of Cincinnati College Conservatory of Music
Both were selected for an OMEA All-State Ensemble; had solos in the 2024 Marching Band Competition Show; played in the Musical Pit Orchestra, and this was just their senior years!
Join us for our Spring Concert on Thursday, May 1 at 7pm at the West Main Campus Theater. All three main campus bands will perform and both students will perform a concerto accompanied by Symphonic Winds. We we also livestream the concert from our YouTube channel

Tag Day is our biggest fundraiser of the year!

Band students go door to door in West Chester and Liberty Township neighborhoods collecting money to support the activities of the entire Lakota West Band Program, to purchase and maintain uniforms for the Marching Band, Symphonic Winds, and Color/Winter Guard.

ALL band students are encouraged to participate. And the more students we have, the more drivers (parents) we need.
