A Request from the Band Directors:
Taking videos of rehearsals or football game performances are fine, but sharing them is not. Please do not upload any videos to a public site. It is copyright infringement to do so and could get the band, school or you in legal trouble.
The Directors will share a private link on occasion of performances that you may share privately. Please also share these important rules with anyone you share it with.
Many, if not most, competitions do NOT allow for photos or videos to be taken of performances. Please adhere to the rules at each competition. Disqualifying our Band is an unfortunate outcome if not followed.
DO NOT POST THINGS ON HORN RANK. In fact, don’t even read stuff on there… stay off Horn Rank except for results. Nothing makes our organization look worse than our students or parents posting on those forums. One more time – DO NOT post and delete anything you might already have up there! That stuff really undercuts our otherwise amazing accomplishments. We only tell people we are great by running our marching show. Even worse if you say negative things about other groups! DO NOT DO IT EVER
Competition Band Dress Rehearsal Tonight, Sep 19 at 8:45pm
It’s time for a full run-through!
We’re bringing the heat to our dress rehearsal TODAY! The entire rehearsal from 6:00 to 9:00 PM will be in show uniform. The full run from off the field begins at 8:45 PM.
These students have been working incredibly hard, and your support means the world to them. Come cheer them on and be part of the excitement!
We can’t wait to see you there!

Please have your donations to the band room on Friday evening 9/19 (there will be a table in the band room) or NO LATER than 3:30pm on the day of the event 9/20 (directly to the bake sale table in the stadium). If you need to arrange an earlier drop off please check the SUG for contact info.
Pit Crew will be working today to prep for the Invitational and are in need of volunteers tomorrow! Please use the SignupGenius on the Pit Crew GroupMe.
All Volunteers: Please check your email for instructions and report at the Volunteer Check in desk tomorrow a few minutes before your scheduled volunteering slot to receive your badges/wristbands/vouchers etc.
Invitational – Parking, Directions, Tickets, Schedule
Requesting all LWHS Families and Volunteers to park along the tree line in the back parking lot. if that area is full, please park in the areas marked “Add’l Parking” in red in the map (MidPointe Library and adjacent parking lot).
LWHS Front parking lots are reserved for trucks and spectators/guests. Please follow signs and instructions from parking volunteers.

Dine to Donate!
Eat at Buffalo Wings & Rings Beckett Ridge on 23 September from 5 to 8pm and 10% of the food sales will be donated to our amazing Band Program.
Orlando & Indy Trip Chaperones Needed
We’re seeking enthusiastic and reliable parent volunteers to join us as chaperones for our upcoming trips to Orlando, FL (Oct 15th-20th) and Indianapolis, IN (Nov 13-16) . Your support is essential to the safety and success of this unforgettable experience for our students.
You’ll help ensure students stay safe, arrive on time, and share in the excitement of performances and travel. Chaperones are the heart of these trips, supporting students, cheering them on, and creating lasting memories together.
A Raptor background check is required (renewed every three years, $18). Chaperones are responsible for covering their own trip costs, which will be shared once finalized.
If you are interested in chaperoning, please fill out The 2025 Trip Chaperone Application Once your interest is confirmed, we will provide more specific details, including the itinerary and expectations.
