Tag Day Competition — In a very close contest, the winners are Clarinets and Field Commanders! All students grades 9-12 in these sections are invited for pizza at 5pm in the West Cafeteria before the home game this Friday 9/27. Thanks to the entire MB for over 90% turn out. We covered all but 1 route for yet another record year of donations!
District MB Fees — Student accounts have been corrected to reflect payment credits. Your student fees should be accurate. Please check and make prompt payment of all fees so that your student can remain eligible to march. Thank you for your patience.
MACYS TRIP — Please check all of your account balances in Charms and make payments promptly so that we can meet our payment schedule with Gateway. CLICK HERE for a guide on how to make payments directly in Charms so they will post faster and without requiring human intervention, the treasurer thanks you!
- CHARMS FINANCES WILL BE DOWN from 9pm 9/30 until 8am 10/1 to run month end. Please plan accordingly. If you make a payment through the website during that time it will be dated 10/1.
- Macy’s student/chaperone trip payment #9 ($100) is due 9/30. $850 of the trip balance should be paid by 9/30, full payment is due 10/31. Full payment must be received and verified before students board the bus.
- The final followers trip payment is due 9/30.
- The followers bus cost is $130 per person and payment is due by 10/31. There are still seats available on the followers bus. CLICK HERE to sign up. You don’t have to purchase the followers package to ride the bus. Bus leaves Lakota West 6am 11/25 and departs NY from the Westin at 7pm on 11/29.
Due to the large number of travelers and money involved with Macy’s, the Upbeat club will be following Gateway’s cancellation policies concerning any cancelled trips (follower or student). The penalties will be incurred as follows for cancelling after the following dates: 7/22 (25% of total trip cost), 8/15 (50%), 9/19 (75%), 11/3 (100%).
Please mark your calendar. We will have a Macy’s pre trip meeting for students, parents, and followers on Tuesday, 10/8 at 7pm in the West Freshman Auditorium. We will cover details of the trip and answer questions.

Voter Registration & Levy – To vote in this November’s election, residents must register with the Butler County Board of Elections by Monday, Oct. 7. Early voting begins on Tuesday, Oct. 1 and regular voting on Election Day, Tuesday, Nov. 5. If you are 18 years old by 11/5 you may register and vote on all candidates and issues.
