- Symphonic Winds Performs at The Midwest Clinic, December 22, 2006
By being selected for the second time in six years to perform at the 60th Annual Midwest Clinic, the Lakota West Symphonic Winds became one of just two bands from the state of Ohio to perform twice. The Midwest Clinic, an international band and orchestra conference held annually since 1946, is the premier event for music educators and performers each year. Thousands of directors, composers, music publishers and dealers from all 50 states and over 30 countries come to see the newest and best in musical talent. - Lakota West Trio Performs on National Public Radio
Congratulations to Thomas Kraynak, Morgan Ferris, and Tom Turner (also known as the Fresh Winds Trio), for being selected to perform on NPR’s “From the Top” radio show. The sax trio performed “The Lone Ar-ranger Goes Sax Mad!” when the show visited Cincinnati’s Music Hall for a taping on Tuesday, February 20. The show aired on April 21.
