UNO’s Dough Raiser Volunteers and Ticket Sales needed!  The Uno’s Dough Raiser is our biggest Rose Parade Trip Fundraiser and requires the help of over 120 volunteers!  The monies earned from the Dough Raiser will help fund the $100/student that LW Upbeat Club has budgeted to take off each student’s Rose Parade trip.  The Dough Raiser is Sunday, October 19 starting at 11:00am with last seating at 8:00pm.  Uno’s Chicago Grill partners with the Lakota West Upbeat Club to host an All You Can Eat Buffet in an exciting and electric atmosphere.  The day will feature a great buffet including their famous pizza, pasta, vegetables, salad and soda, ice cream donated by Bruster’s for dessert, live music by our drum-line, jazz combo, marching band leadership team, Symphonic Winds Chamber groups, and an Alumni jam session.  Face painting and balloon animals will be available for children and perhaps a fire engine.  Improvements from last year include increased seating so we can accommodate more guests.

You can help by:

Signing up to help on the Uno’s Dough Raiser Sign-up Genius:  Both student and adult volunteer help is needed – see role descriptions on sign up genius for which roles are most suitable for whom.   Shifts are long to minimize turnover and ensure the success of the event.  All volunteers during the Dough Raiser itself will receive a free T-shirt to wear as their “uniform” for the day. Click HERE to sign up!!!  Please sign up early to select your choice of available roles.

Selling Dough Raiser tickets:  At Thursday’s Silvers rehearsal on October 2, each marching band student received an envelope with numbered Uno’s tickets for each band member and instructions to sell.  Please encourage your student to sell the tickets or help them sell them to neighbors, co-workers and relatives.  Cash and any unsold tickets need to be turned in by the Thursday, October 16 Silvers rehearsal.  Pre-sold ticket numbers will be checked against the paid for list at the door – so please make sure you turn in money for any pre-sold tickets.  If you need extra tickets, please email Mariam Kassem at lwunos@gmail.com.

Spirit Wear, Rose Parade Jackets and Rose Parade Brochures:   Please note that there is now a 2nd page on the Spirit Wear Order Form for Rose Parade items – short sleeve white t-shirt, long sleeve black t-shirt, Rose Parade jackets with logo and official 2015 Rose Parade programs!  Rose Parade jacket sizes will run the same size as the kids jackets. Once they arrive, try your kids on. We will also have a very limited supply of sample sizes available shortly. Because of price point and personalization, we will not be able to make exchanges. Spirit Wear orders can be picked up each week at Thursday night Silvers practice. If you have any questions regarding Spirit Wear, please contact Rachel Butler at spirit@lakotawestbands.org.
