Lakota West 3rd Annual Invitational – September 20th, 2025
Invitational Volunteers
Calling all our Band Families! Our 3rd Annual Invitational is around the corner, and we need all hands on deck to make it a success! We’re looking for volunteers to help with a variety of tasks throughout the event.
As a small token of appreciation, all volunteers will receive free admission. Plus, if you sign up for two or more consecutive shifts, you’ll also receive a food voucher! Check out the sign-up link below for more details and let us know how you can lend a hand.

Invitational Bake Sale and Food Donation
Got a favorite recipe? We need your help at our Invitational!
We’re looking for individually wrapped baked goods to sell at our bake sale table, located in the vendor section of the stadium during the event. Items can be store-bought or homemade, but we kindly ask that they be packaged in individual baggies to make distribution easier. Please place two small items in one baggie, or one large item per baggie.
We’re also seeking crockpot meals and drink donations for the hospitality room, which provides food and refreshments for the band directors and bus drivers participating in our event.

It’s time for a full run-through!
We’re bringing the heat to our dress rehearsal on Friday, September 19th! The entire rehearsal from 6:00 to 9:00 PM will be in show uniform. The full run from off the field begins at 8:45 PM.
These students have been working incredibly hard, and your support means the world to them. Come cheer them on and be part of the excitement!

Varsity Football Game – Volunteer to EARN for Upbeat Club
Sign up for a shift (or two!) for Lakota West Athletic Boosters Concessions and help earn $$s to help your favorite group – the Upbeat Club!
Option 1: Individual Sign up Earn $50 per shift for the group of your choice (may we suggest the Upbeat Club?)
Option 2: Team Sign up Sign up with a group of minimum 3 and earn $150 (or $100 if no grilling is required). Students 5-18 must be accompanied by an adult.
Travel with us & make Unforgettable Memories!
We’re seeking enthusiastic and reliable parent volunteers to join us as chaperones for our upcoming trips to Orlando, FL (Oct 15th-20th) and Indianapolis, IN (Nov 13-16) . Your support is essential to the safety and success of this unforgettable experience for our students.
You’ll help ensure students stay safe, arrive on time, and share in the excitement of performances and travel. Chaperones are the heart of these trips, supporting students, cheering them on, and creating lasting memories together.
A Raptor background check is required (renewed every three years, $18). Chaperones are responsible for covering their own trip costs, which will be shared once finalized.

Competition Band Families! Add a little love to your student’s show uniform!

There’s no limit to how many tags you can order. Each one is handmade and carefully sewn into the uniform by a dedicated band mom.
Tags are $25 each, and all proceeds go directly to support the band program.

Meetings are held on the third Thursday of each month at the Lakota West Main Campus, typically in the Band Room, but occasionally in the Cafeteria, Chorus room, or the Hub. We’ll notify you in advance if the location changes.
You’ll hear from our Directors, Executive Team, and Committee Leads as they share important updates, exciting news, and this is a great opportunity to connect with other amazing band families. It’s also a great time to ask any questions you may have!
