We feature several Jazz ensembles:
- at Lakota West High School there is a curricular Jazz Band and a curricular Jazz Combo,
- at Lakota West Freshman School there is a curricular Jazz Band and
- at Ridge and Plains Junior Schools there are extracurricular Jazz bands for eighth graders as well as second-semester seventh graders.
During the 2020-2021 school year, performance schedule is:
- October 5: Fall Jazz Concert
- December 3: Lakota Jazz Festival
- December 11: Annual LW Swing Dance featuring high school-level Jazz ensembles from 7:30 to 10pm at the Lakota West High School West Side Diner
